About

When I hear the phrase ‘Hidden Talents,’ I understand that we all possess talents, though they may not always be recognized. My talent for writing emerged at a young age; I would spend hours scribbling on lined paper, proud of the pages I filled.

In elementary school, a teacher rushed out of the classroom to tell me I had done very well on my English exam. Similarly, when I first entered university and was asked which subject I wanted to major in, I was caught off-guard. Without a clear idea of what I wanted to study, I thought about it and chose English. I was placed in a class discussing a well-known poet I would only become familiar with later in life.

I’ve concluded that talents are not hidden; they surround us daily. We just need to recognize them when the time is right. One day, while traveling to New York City for Thanksgiving—my family lived there, and I had visited the Big Apple on several occasions—I decided to write down my observations and feelings while looking out the train window. This became my first poem. The opening lines were:

What a beautiful force the Sun is,
Wrapped in an ice-blue blanket,
An endless forest green beneath,
Vivacious Earth, good food, I thank it.

Reflected from the celestial sky,
I may forget the ocean,
An undersea harmonious tribe,
Earth! Let’s perform that motion.

Impressed by what I had written at that moment, I continued to write many poems over the years. I sent copies to my sister, and as time passed, she rediscovered them and called me to express how provocative and thought-provoking she found my poetry. This inspired me to compile the poetry I had written over the years.

Here are just a few of my earlier works.

To name just a few, my earlier poetry includes titles like “To The Wise,” “More Money More Time,” “A Force to Reckon With,” and “He Married Her.”

My poetry is drawn from life experiences and is, I believe, timeless. I know many can relate to each of my poems, which are inspired by the Universe, The Almighty.

Over the years, the poetry I’ve written has deepened, prompting readers to reflect on their own life experiences that may resonate with the themes of my work, such as those in “Poems In Six Senses.” My journey didn’t end with words on paper; I sought to bring my poetry to life.

On a rare occasion, I encountered a friend whom I didn’t recognize at first. His name is Ben, and he revealed that he produces music. To my amazement, I had finally found someone who could compose music for my poetry.

Our partnership felt heaven-sent. He is a brilliant music producer, and I was fortunate to select the music he composed for my poetry. He understood my vision, and together we produced several musical tracks to accompany my poetry. I must admit, he contributed most of the content.

The audible version will be released shortly. I’ve uploaded a few poems to this website for your listening pleasure.

Thank you for subscribing to this website. I would love to hear your comments on your interpretation of each poem and which lines stand out to you.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Please enjoy,
